At SEMA we entered a new Prototype BOV and it won Best New Product, as voted on by an esteemed panel of international magazine editors. Since it was a prototype we would appreciate your help in determining how the new development gets implemented.

Please take a moment to answer six quick questions about a new Prototype Blow-Off Valve that we are working on. Your feedback and input are valuable to us and we thank you for taking a moment to help us. In fact, we will be selecting a lucky winner, from those that fill out the survey, to receive the final version for free when it is released.

Turbonetics is proud to release part numbers for the GT-K turbochargers with a wet bearing section. Wet bearing sections turbochargers will utilize a 16 mm port on either side of the bearing section through which to route engine coolant to keep bearing temps low and reduce heat within the turbocharger and engine bay as well as improve turbocharger life under extreme operating conditions. Please use the following part numbers when ordering your GT-K turbochargers with a wet bearing section. There is no additional cost for a wet bearing section and the dry bearing GT-K turbochargers are still available via their old part numbers which can be found HERE

Announcements :: Turbonetics RG-45 Wastegate Officially Released!!

Author: Robert
Subject: Turbonetics RG-45 Wastegate Officially Released!!
Turbonetics is pleased to announce that the new RG-45 Wastegate p/n 11240 is now shipping. Completely designed from the ground up, Turbonetics engineers threw out the rule book when creating this new middle-weight wastegate. Capable of comfortably handling 700+ HP and only measuring slightly more than the super slim Evolution Wastegate, the RG-45 features V-Band connections in and out, 45mm valve diameter and cast stainless steel base for strength and durability.

The brand new RG-45 replaces the legendary Racegate p/n 10307 (now discontinued) in our wastegate lineup. Built with the latest technology such as an inconel valve to withstand high exhaust gas temperatures, high temp fluro-silicone diaphragm for predictable and repeatable boost control, and V-Band connections all in a very small frame size. Like its name suggests the gate has a 1.77''/45mm valve and is good for powerplants making 700+ HP.

The RG-45 is also able to be bolted on to the Tial 44mm gate V-Band flanges with the (21912 optional adaptor flange) to make this a direct replacement with no modifications necessary.

RG-45 Features:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

45mm Valve - Able to control 700+ HP
DFT - Directed Flow Technology uses active design to move exhaust gases out of the main body chamber
Investment Cast Stainless Steel - Corrosion resistance & strength
V-Band flanges - Inlet and discharge are made for easy installation and adjustments
Multiple Boost Ports - For clean and simple installation
11 psi spring installed - Comes with 5, 8, as well as 15 psi springs
Turbonetics stand-off base design - Provides cooling for the valve and diaphragm insulation

Are you looking to increase the horsepower of your 335i to match the great factory torque delivery? Turbonetics and its high performance intercooler brand Spearco now offers bolt-on intercooler upgrades for the 2007-up 335i coupes and sedans. BMW owners can now enjoy the benefits of increased flow and more efficient air to help dramatically lower intake air temperatures to increase power. By using a massive 6” thick W.A.V.E. Technology core, the Spearco front mount intercooler dropped charge air temperatures on average of 125 degrees on the twin turbo vehicle. In addition to lower intake air temperatures, the pressure of air exiting the intercooler compared to the pressure entering the unit was only an amazing 0.20 psi drop. The stock unit has over one pound of pressure loss/drop due to the factory unit’s lack of efficiency and limited size. When the stock unit is upgraded to the Spearco you will have less heat and more power due to the ability to quickly and efficiently move the pressurized air through the intercooler assembly. More info available HERE

The Subaru Legacy wagon lives up to the family crest by making lots of power in a real sleeper vehicle. Blow the doors off those other sports cars when you bolt-on the new Spearco top mount intercooler. The W.A.V.E. Technology core provides maximum efficiency in the tight stock location and greatly reduces the intake charge temp and allows you to turn the boost up to see the true potential of this engine. Designed to be a direct factory replacement, the Spearco assembly drops right into place in less than 2 hours of install time. Well tonight you might have noticed the board was disabled for a while. It is back and better then ever. The Garage mod is live. You should have noticed a couple new icons up at the top. Feel free to explore the new garage mod, add pics of your car and all the info about it. Include your dyno sheets and 1/4 mile slips in the rolling road and 1/4 mile table. We'll be updating the icons for the garage mod over the next few days but I couldn't wait to get this running for everyone. After you've had a chance to check it out leave me some feedback on what you think. Have fun everyone!!

Announcements :: Ford 7.3L Powerstroke Torque Master Upgrades released!!!

Turbonetics Inc. launches a new line of turbo & intercooler diesel performance products under the Torque-Master brand name for the Ford 7.3L Powerstroke.

Incorporating larger, stronger turbos able to withstand the rigors of extended use at higher boost pressures, the Torque-Master turbos by Turbonetics, offer more horsepower and torque, even at stock boost pressures due to their ability to flow a greater volume of air. The bolt-on turbo upgrades will also be available in a Patented Ceramic Ball Bearing option for faster spool up, increased power response and durability at the end of this spring.

An even more popular item for the masses is the larger Spearco front mount intercooler upgrade. Featuring W.A.V.E. Technology cores utilizing a bar and plate design, for strength and efficiency, the Spearco intercooler offers approximately 30% more volume for charge air-cooling. The precision welded aluminum construction adds reliability, especially over the plastic end tanks being used by some manufacturers. Spearco Intercoolers allow users to tow harder, faster and pull more weight by reducing intake temps which in turn equally lowers exhaust gas temperatures.

The combination of the larger turbo and intercooler are capable of supporting an increase of over 200 horsepower. Both products are bolt-on upgrade items, which require no cutting, welding or vehicle modifications to install.

Turbonetics Inc. announced today that it has been acquired by Edgewater Capital Partners to become the group’s cornerstone company in the automotive aftermarket. The purchase agreement was formalized and signed on December 13th, 2006, with the final transaction taking place the morning of Monday January 8th.
“This acquisition is very exciting to everyone here at Turbonetics,” stated newly appointed President Brad Lewis. “Edgewater’s focus on growing our business and improving service to our customers with new and technologically advanced products, gives us a clear market advantage. We are thrilled to have Edgewater’s support to continue our nearly three decades of forced induction experience to the automotive aftermarket.”
Determined to grow the company through new product development, Edgewater has made it clear that full engineering efforts will be made to continue to bring Turbonetics customers the highest performance forced induction products possible. Edgewater’s support and technological interests will allow Turbonetics to concentrate on developing exciting new opportunities without limiting any current core business. Turbonetics Inc. has made several other acquisitions on its own over the past few years, beginning with an industrial diesel division in 2000, Spearco in 2001, and then F-MAX later in 2003. The industrial division consists of diesel regulators for large frame OE natural gas and diesel engines. Spearco, a company specializing in heat exchanger and intercooler products, along with F-MAX a turbo “kit” company, has allowed Turbonetics to expand all product lines to deliver a complete range of forced induction components to consumers.
Turbonetics new CEO Joe Hige, formerly of Detroit Locker announced, “Turbonetics is the perfect company to secure our foundation in the automotive aftermarket. We feel very lucky to have the chance to work with a company with such a rich history of success and customer satisfaction. Turbonetics products are hailed as the industry leader in both performance and quality and we look to build upon that reputation for many years to come.”
For nearly three decades, Turbonetics has been a leading source for turbochargers, heat exchangers, controls and related forced induction performance items. Today, Turbonetics manufactures turbo and intercooler products for gasoline as well as diesel passenger and industrial applications. It is Turbonetics mission to produce the highest quality performance forced induction systems, components and accessories, resulting in unsurpassed customer satisfaction and leading edge technology, based on a proven history of engineering and racing experience.
